CITIES IN CINEMA

About the Festival Program

The Festival Promotional Video was created by Corbin Craft and James Loizou

Purpose
The Cinemuse Film Festival program is an annual event where the club brings a weekend full of free films to the JMU and Harrisonburg theatres. The goal of the festival coincides with Cinemuse's general message of exposing audiences to the creative aspects in foreign, classic and independent films. Our festivals invite guest speakers and offer a number of contests and other activites throughout the week. Different from other festivals, these events are entirely student-run.

The Process
Cinemuse plans and develops the festivals throughout the year, meeting regularly outside of general or production meetings. The Festival Committee selects a theme and recommends a variety of titles for the club to elect, ensuring a rich film selection. All Cinemuse members are invited and encouraged to participate in festival meetings.
