In the fall semester of 2007, Cinemuse Productions began a "pitch system" where members presented their ideas to the club and moved forward with all interested people. Derek Silver's The Salesman was of the first pitches and Trading Bristles became the first project to be produced under the system (Revenge was also produced at this time). James Loizou directed Silver's script, which starred members John Pierce and Vince Battistone. Loizou and Silvers edited the piece, which was selected for and showcased in UPB's annual student film festival in spring 2008.
